Positive Impact Ministries is a St. Petersburg, FL-based non-profit, established in 2003, whose mission is to END HUNGER and ensure that no child goes to bed hungry in our city. In partnership with Publix, Sam's Club, Aldi, and The Fresh Market, we help ensure equitable access to nutritious food for children and their families through our FREE Grocery Distribution Event held weekly at Tangerine Plaza in St. Petersburg, FL, every Saturday from 9:30 AM to 12 PM. In 2020, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Positive Impact distributed more than 475,000 meals to the St. Petersburg community. Positive Impact is on track to provide over 1 million meals this year alone, significantly impacting our community. In Pinellas County, thousands of hard-working families struggle to make ends meet just to put food on the table. The need is just as dire as it was during the pandemic, which is hard for all of us to think about. Current research finds that as many as 36,000 children in our community are food insecure; out of this number, 7,000 children in Pinellas County are chronically hungry. Positive Impact is committed to ensuring no child goes to bed hungry; therefore, we are extending our reach to meet the critical need for food in each of our communities, and we invite you to link arms with us.
