Whistleblowing Solutions, Inc. ® (WSI) was established almost six years ago, to fill a critical void in both public and private sector employer/employee relations. When confronted with what they believe to be fraud or other improper actions, many employees feel, rightly or wrongly, that they cannot trust their employer. For this reason, the employee may make public accusations against the employer. The natural human reaction to such public accusations is to assume a defensive posture and expend vast resources in an attempt to dispel the allegations. This almost always results in a no win situation for both the employer and the employee. Our name, Whistleblowing Solutions, Inc , ® was chosen very deliberately. We believe that the best solution to prevent the significant organizational damage caused by whistleblowing is the adoption of policy, procedures, and practices that diffuse and correct situations before they reach the point of whistleblowing. In general, whistleblowers only want to see that improper practices are terminated and corrected. It is in the best interest of both the organization and the employee to properly manage a situation so that it is not allowed to escalate to public whistleblowing. We are uniquely qualified to assist organizations in the creation and implementation of policy and procedures to appropriately address employee concerns. We are neutral fact finders. As we are outside of the organization, our services are not tainted by friendships, concerns about our careers, preconceived conceptions about individuals, or any other such issues that can influence persons employed within the organization. We are not a means for disgruntled employees to further frivolous complaints. The use of our services, however, may keep the employee from becoming disgruntled. Our unbiased review of such frivolous complaints will aid in the organization's defense should the situation escalate. We are a means for organizations to find and correct problems in a timely fashion.
