Wheelers is New Zealand’s largest supplier of eBooks and print books to schools and public libraries. Established over 40 years ago, the company provides a customised service encompassing everything from book selection to cataloguing, covering and processing. It is a key supplier of print and eBooks to many of the country’s largest library chains. Wheelers’ digital platforms have grown to encompass a comprehensive website carrying millions of titles and the dedicated eBook lending system ePlatform. Since being launched in 2011, ePlatform is used by around 1000 schools and libraries across more than 10 countries. The system is a continually-expanding online eBook library, providing 160,000 titles from 1400 publishers worldwide. This includes 30,000 New Zealand and Australian titles, the largest volume of any eBook publisher. Wheelers has expanded its international presence through relationships with key global partners, including in Australia and the United Kingdom, ensuring the company is at the forefront of the latest technology and industry developments. The company remains active in its local market however, helping to foster the next generation of readers through delivering thousands of books free every year to lower-income communities in New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and elsewhere.
