I hate that most new bikes come fitted with astonishingly poor wheels. It's so that the manufacturer can hit a price point, but heavy, sluggish wheels compromise your riding experience. I hand-build custom bicycle wheels for riders that refuse to accept that their wheels are the limiting factor in their riding experience. Every wheel I build uses high quality components, and is assembled with an obsessive level of attention to detail. Every spoke is tensioned with precision. All builds start with a conversation. I need to know what bike you ride, where and how you ride, and what kind of rider you are. You could be a racer that needs ultralight wheels, but wheels that won't buckle at the first sign of a rock garden. Perhaps you're an ultra-distance cyclist who rides with a heavy load and needs wheels that won't skip a beat on a 5000km adventure. Or you ride an e-bike, or are a gravel racer or simply want to enjoy the trails with your mates. Your wheels should never interfere with your experience. They should enhance it. Each wheel I build comes with a lifetime workmanship warranty. Your spokes too, because although the odd spoke does break, it shouldn't be unpleasant to fix. Your wheels are involved in driving your bike, stopping it and connecting you to the road or trail. They're the one component that needs to work, and work flawlessly. This is why Wheelbuilder exsits, and why I've been building wheels by hand since 2015, and why I'll never stop.
