King Conservation District (KCD) is a non-regulatory natural resources assistance agency authorized by Washington State. Our mission is to promote the sustainable use of natural resources through responsible stewardship. Since 1949, KCD has been helping the people of King County manage their natural resources. We educate landowners, schools, scientists, consultants and agencies in how to recognize problem situations and how to avoid creating them. We also provide technical assistance in solving their problems.

Kitsap Conservation District is your resource for natural resources! We offer technical assistance to landowners to help preserve our natural resources. You will find all the information you need to apply for technical assistance and grants to help you improve your property's resource management. We are a non-regulatory organization working cooperatively with private landowners to address water and soil concerns. We collaborate with farmers, residents, and businesses to work toward conservation goals.

The Thurston Conservation District promotes voluntary stewardship among private landowners in Thurston County. Our services are free to the residents of our County. We are committed to finding available resources and coordinating them in a way that they meet the needs of our local community. As we move into the coming months and years, we realize that large agricultural land-holding are becoming threatened by growth in Thurston County. As a result, we are committed to adjusting to the needs of our urban community needs as well as preserving our precious local farmland. Our Mission To conserve, sustain, and protect our natural resources for the people of Thurston County through: rural and urban partnerships, fostering volunteerism, cooperation, education, leadership, and technical and financial assistance. Our Vision To create healthy, functioning ecosystems in Thurston County through advocacy, education and technical assistance efforts; thereby empowering every citizen of Thurston County to be a steward of the environment.
