We are a team of technologists, lawyers and financial analysts that have come together to offer automation and standardisation solutions in sukuk capital markets. These markets face structural challenges due to the lack of: product consistency, documentary uniformity, ease of sharia compliance, regulatory certainty and, importantly, streamlined operations. We will address these challenges through the development of a “platform-as-a-service” for financial institutions, fundraisers (originators), investors and service providers to use in the pre-sale, issuance, management and secondary trading of sukuk products. In our platform, we enable: the automation of administrative functions and elimination of certain intermediaries; the automation of certain contractual actions; the integration of third party data; the auditability by counterparties as well as third-party governance and audit functions; and the standardisation of sukuk documentation. We are achieving this with a combination of tech, legal and financial innovations.
