The inspiration for creating the perfect crisp emerged in 2015 when our founder, Matt, was following a strict gluten free diet. He found that although the diet was treating him well, he was really missing his favorite snacks. The diet inspired him to recreate the classic canister chip, making it something he could eat without guilt. Making healthy crisps with better ingredients was a challenge. But Matt also wanted his daughters to eat them as well. They couldn’t just be natural. They had to be exceptionally tasty as well. And so it began— one man’s journey to develop a clean-label, gluten free canister chip that his whole family (and yours!) could enjoy.

Base Culture is a grain free, gluten free and paleo baked goods and snacks company. At Base Culture, all-natural living is our passion. That is why we are drawing upon our Paleolithic roots to create simple, clean, high quality breads, sweet baked goods and almond butters that are simple, natural, and primal. At Base Culture, we like to say Paleo isn’t a diet… it’s a way of life.
