Winter break has been longer than normal and were ready to come back. Both locations will be open during the 2 week quarantine period. Due to a reduced work force of student employees who are not available during quarantine, we will have reduced hours and possibly menu changes. Wes Wings will re-open Monday February 8th and be operating lunch 11-2 and dinner 5-8. We will not be open during the afternoon between 2-5pm. After student workers return, we will resume our all day service. Red & Black Café will re-open Tuesday February 9th and be operating M-Th 9am-6pm and Fri-Sun 9am-5pm. After student workers return, we will resume our full weekday dinner schedule of 9am-8pm M-Th and weekends Fri-Sun 9-5 With reduced staff, we anticipate longer lines and ask that everyone be as patient as possible. We plan to offer more specials so everyone can order more quickly and get through the lines as fast as possible. Like last semester please maintain your distance, wear your masks and keep everyone safe. Thank you. Everyone. It is impossible to list every person. We have completed the fall semester during the most difficult conditions in our 30 years and can proudly say it was an overwhelming success. But it took everyones help. Students, Wesleyan staff and administrators, Covid testing staff, the weather and most importantly our staff at Wes Wings and Red & Black Cafe. When we abruptly closed last March there were so many uncertainties and how and when we might reopen was not clear. It took a tremendous amount of planning and hard work with our staff to create a system that was both safe and efficient while maintaining our menu and overall appeal that has made both of our restaurants so popular over the decades. We told our customers the best way to help us come back from the financial hardship of last spring was to buy wings, mozzarella sticks, cookie dough, panini and smoothies. And you didnt disappoint.
