We are 32 years old and we've been family owned from the beginning. The McMurrans started Westmoreland in an effort to control the quality of both the development and the building that goes with it. The McMurran family houses four generations of developers and builders. Typically building and development are done separately by different companies. They decided to put it all under one roof so that every aspect of the building and development process could be controlled at one time. This allowed for more efficient building and a better product at the finalization of every project. We only let select builders into the developments in order to control quality and standards. We are led by a father and son team, and we keep everything within the company. We hire both experienced minds and younger talent to create new approaches to building and development.
