Westgate EFI Information

Westgate EFI is a leading equestrian distributor, supplying a range of more than 7000 product lines to over 1500 retailers. Westgate EFI Ltd was incorporated in July 2006 as a result of the merger of two of the leading equestrian distributors in the UK. Prior to the merger, Westgate Group, owned and run by Michael Vant, had been a major player in the industry for almost fifty years and was the first truly national wholesaler the industry had known. EFI Ltd, the brainchild of Bruno Goyens, had operated predominantly in mainland Europe since the early 1980’s but became fully established in the UK during the 1990’s with the creation of the Mark Todd and Jumpers Horse Line brands. The merger between the two companies evolved as each company sought to find a partner with whom to share and develop their own individual strengths and create a unique company and unique synergy within the equestrian industry. Today the company services the best-established route to market in the UK with over eight hundred retail customers buying on a regular basis. Westgate EFI employs over fourty people including dedicated Area Managers who are on the road full time visiting their retail customers and servicing their requirements. The company has Joint Managing Directors: Ed Vant, based in Kent, MD of Operations and Bruno Goyens, based in Wiltshire, MD of Product Development and Sourcing.
