Balmoral is an innovative and forward thinking school. On our site we have both a Primary School and an Intermediate School. Our most recent Education Review Office report highlighted very high student achievement in reading, writing and mathematics and celebrated the fact that we have a "broad and holistic view of success and achievement is integral to the school's vision, philosophy and culture. Children are active participants in their education where curiosity, challenge, critical thinking and creativity are valued outcomes. The school promotes the joy of learning." We are continually looking for ways to improve and develop our curriculum in order to ensure that our students are engaged, challenged and thinking. Again, this was highlighted by the Education Review office: "The school's curriculum design draws on research and current educational thinking to meet the learning needs and aspirations of students and parents.
