WeSET Information

Westmill Wind and Solar Farm Co-Ops started as a small group of local people who wanted to make a difference. The co-ops now have almost 4,000 members who together turned those dreams into energy projects that now generate over 15GW/year of renewable energy and are 100% community owned. Westmill Sustainable Energy Trust (WeSET) is the charity set up by members of the co-ops to take forward that desire to make a difference. We carry out a wide range of activities, the core being educational work, supporting local energy conservation and renewable energy initiatives and arts projects. We encourage and facilitate visits to the site and every other year organise a larger event. We hope that you may feel inspired to join us or to do something in your community that help to work towards a low carbon future.
