Wellness Space Information

Based in Sunderland, Wellness Space is a unique, independently-owned yoga studio. We offer a wide range of in-studio and online yoga classes, workshops, and wellness activities. Our commitment to community well-being is evident in our diverse offerings, including outdoor yoga, hiking clubs, and retreats both overseas and in the UK. We also host the annual Sunderland Wellness Festival, a full-day event featuring movement, meditation, breathwork, music, and inspiring speakers. Wellness Space, founded by Claire Lormor, aims to unite people through movement and wellness. In recent years, the health and wellness industry has seen significant growth, particularly since the COVID-19 pandemic. This global health crisis increased awareness of the importance of physical and mental well-being. While many people are more conscious of their health, access to quality wellness services remains a challenge. We recognize this gap in the wellness industry, a gap that extends beyond economic factors. By operating as a social enterprise, we aim to provide our services to a wider and more diverse audience, working towards closing this wellness gap.
