At Joules we honour our British heritage while creating products and experiences that delight, inspire, and connect with our customers every day.
We are committed to bringing freshness and innovation to our collections, delivering style, quality, and joy in every season.
We strive to be the leading brand in preppy, heritage ‘time off’ clothing, offering standout outerwear and rainwear, layered autumn and winter essentials, fresh spring and summer styles, and a broad selection across womenswear, menswear, kidswear, and homeware.
We aim to grow as a brand while staying true to the values that define us.
The Barbour story began in 1894 in South Shields in the North East of England. Founder John Barbour began supplying oilskins and other garments to protect the growing community of sailors, fishermen and dockers. These first weather resistant items quickly established Barbour’s reputation for innovation and quality. Today, Barbour remains a fifth generation family business. Under the leadership of Chairman Dame Margaret Barbour, Barbour has grown into a lifestyle brand sold in over 55 countries worldwide including Europe, the US and Asia offering a wardrobe of stylish functional clothing, footwear and accessories inspired by the unique values of the British countryside. The iconic Barbour Bedale and Barbour Beaufort wax jackets continue to be made by hand in the factory in South Shields. Barbour International, the collection for men and women inspired by Barbour’s motorcycle heritage established in 1936, is now a separate stand alone brand with its own identity.
In 2020, Barbour launched Wax for Life, an overarching name for all of Barbour’s wax services designed to encourage customers to extend the life of their wax garments. Wax for Life includes re-waxing and repairs (first introduced in 1921) and Barbour Re-Loved an upcycling circularity initiative. Each year over 70,000 wax garments are sent back to Barbour globally to be repaired, rewaxed or altered.
In 1960, Åke Nordin founded Fjällräven in the Swedish town of Örnsköldsvik. Since then, Fjällräven has made a commitment to high quality and high-end design, while staying true to our mission of developing timeless, functional and durable outdoor equipment, acting responsible towards people, animals and nature and inspiring people to get outside.
We want to inspire and enable more people to experience nature. We do this by developing clothing and equipment that make the outside safer, warmer, dryer and generally more enjoyable. And by running events that provide the framework and support to make nature more accessible.
We’re a team of nature lovers, some more experienced than others, that likes to spend as much time outdoors as possible. In our offices and our stores we are designers, product developers, buyers, administrators, marketers, communicators, sales staff, customer service reps and business developers. In nature though, we’re all the same.
Do you want to help us to inspire and enable more people to walk with nature? We're always interested in people who want to join our trek. Welcome to visit our career site http://career.fjallraven.com/
