WELLESLEY SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA INC Information

Founded as the Wellesley Community Orchestra in 1948, the WSO is a regional orchestra under Music Director/Conductor Max Hobart, a long-time member of the Boston Symphony Orchestra. Our mission is "to provide high quality orchestral performances for and by members of Wellesley and other greater Boston communities; to provide opportunities for young and professional soloists; to commission and/or premier works by regional composers, and to collaborate with public schools and other educational and community organizations." We love performing and bringing great music to the community! Now in its 70th season, the Wellesley Symphony Orchestra is a non-profit institution dedicated to providing Wellesley and the surrounding communities with excellent musical programs; and to helping support composers and new music; and to helping our young people become performers and audiences in the future.
