Wellesley Scholarship Foundation Information

The Wellesley Scholarship Foundation was founded in 1951 with the mission to solicit and receive gifts from individuals and organizations to recognize and support academic pursuits through the award of scholarships to residents of the Town of Wellesley. Our focus is largely upon financial need-based scholarships, although two separately endowed permanent funds allow for a limited number of merit awards. Our funding comes from primarily two sources:Donations to our annual appeal from Wellesley residents, past supporters, and local businesses;Investment income from our endowment.WSF is governed by an elected Board of Trustees which is responsible for managing the foundation and awarding the scholarships. Since all the trustees are volunteers, our administrative costs are minimal. Wellesley Scholarship Foundation is a non-profit, tax exempt 501(c)3 foundation and is not affiliated with any other group.
