Taste Hungary is dedicated to sharing Hungary's unique foodways, wine, and history. As Hungary’s leading food and wine tour company, we offer daily food and drink walks, wine tastings, wine tours, and private and custom tours for groups. Our award-winning food and wine tours have been featured in the Financial Times, Saveur, Afar, The New York Times, Condé Nast Traveler, National Geographic Traveler, the Chicago Tribune, Vogue, and others. Our tours feature visits to authentic places where guests will not only try our favorite delicious local specialties, but learn the stories behind the places, the people, and the dishes that are important to Hungary’s culinary culture. Our team of tour guides are passionate food-lover’s who expertly share their knowledge on all topics of Hungarian food and wine. The Tasting Table Budapest is our own independent wine shop and tasting room, located in central Budapest, where our sommeliers lead twice daily wine tastings, our wine store stocks 200+ labels, and we offer wine by the glass and flight. (Ask us about teambuilding activities and private events!) Taste Hungary also operates a wine import and retail business in the US, through which we run a wine club and sell mixed cases of our curated selection of Hungarian wine. We also ship wine all over Europe directly from The Tasting Table Budapest. We are passionate about introducing Hungary and Central Europe— undiscovered culinary gems—and the food and winemaking traditions and complex history. Our goal is to show guests that there is plenty of good food and wine here, and to break down the language and cultural barriers that often make it difficult to discover. Our guests go home feeling like they've discovered things they didn’t even know existed, and that it was well worth their while to dig deeply into a new country, and its cuisine, flavors, and people.
