ECOSISTEMA è una Società Cooperativa a responsabilità limitata, costituita nel 1998 per iniziativa di un gruppo di naturalisti che, giàda metà degli anni ottanta, svolgevano consulenze di settore per soggetti pubblici e privati. Lo scopo sociale di ECOSISTEMA, così come espresso nello statuto, è “l'esercizio di tutte le attività proprie e di quelle che in futuro possano divenire proprie della professione del naturalista”. Più precisamente l'attività di ECOSISTEMA è incentrata sulla progettazione e la gestione di azioni / strumenti / strutture per la conservazione della biodiversità e l'uso sostenibile delle risorse naturali nei processi di sviluppo socio-economico. In ECOSISTEMA operano i soci ed alcuni collaboratori stabili. In presenza di particolari necessità, si uniscono al team di ECOSISTEMA altri specialisti del settore naturalistico, ma anche esperti di comunicazione, grafici, programmatori software.
