GATE at Shenton College is a distinctive program for academically gifted children, with admission through an annual testing program administered by the Department of Education. We help individual students explore their unique potential through integrated and academically rigorous courses that emphasise enrichment, challenge and connection. Shenton GATE graduates achieve high level success in a range of fields, and are confident, innovative, lateral thinkers, who collaborate with peers and are engaged with the world.
We seek to empower our students to contribute positively to society, to be accepting of others, and to shape their futures using knowledge and skills developed through a partnership between the College, their family and the wider community. The College is open to all students. We are committed to contributing to Western Australia as a socially cohesive, safe, democratically stable and reconciled society. We are guided by five core values in everything we do. Respect and concern for others and their rights
