Wekume Information

Wekume Initiative is a youth-led social enterprise that provides digital sexual and reproductive health (SRH) tools to university students across Uganda. Our flagship product, the Wekume App, gives students confidential, stigma-free access to accurate SRH information and connects them to trusted health providers, closing a gap that exists for young people once they leave school-based health programmes and enter university life, often without any structured SRH support system in place. Because trust and safety are central to whether a young person will use an SRH tool at all, our partnerships are chosen deliberately: with health providers who can deliver real care, with youth groups who understand their peers, and with digital platforms capable of reaching students safely, privately, and at scale.
