Headquartered in Singapore, our award-winning studio comprises a dynamic international team of architects, designers and researchers led by Dutch architect and founding director Camiel Weijenberg. Our firm’s philosophy ‘Crafting the Traditional, Shaping the Future’ takes an approach that fuses traditional materials with cutting-edge technology to create bold, sustainable designs for now and the future. As an international studio, WEIJENBERG invites clients around the world to propose a design challenge. We have successfully delivered projects in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Australia, Hungary, France, the Netherlands and Singapore. Some of our clients include New World Development, Creative Quest, China 500 and the award-winning RAW, restaurant of the internationally celebrated chef, André Chiang. Extending our philosophy of ‘Crafting the Traditional, Shaping the Future’ to pedagogy, WEIJENBERG has partnered with Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD) since 2016 to explore the use of sustainable building materials in new ways by employing emerging technologies. Our founder Camiel Weijenberg is passionate about educating the next generation of architects and designers. He has taught Sustainable Design as a visiting professor at SUTD and was the Architectural Association’s visiting tutor at AAVS/Osaka 2019 in Osaka, Japan. Camiel is also a regular speaker at international design and architecture conferences. *currently not registered with the Singapore Board of Architects
