Weigh and Win Information

Weigh and Win is a community health and wellness program available for free to all Colorado residents 18 and over. Personalized health coaching is provided through text message and email which includes exercise and nutrition plans, a weekly grocery list and unlimited access to health coaches via phone or email. Our goal is to help participants achieve and maintain a healthy weight, as well as engage in a healthier, more active lifestyle. Coloradans who begin the program with a BMI of 25 or above qualify for cash incentives, which are calculated based off of percentage of body weight lost. Cash is also rewarded for weight maintenance. Participant progress is tracked through quarterly weigh-ins at one of our 95 kiosks throughout Colorado. The kiosk measures weight and BMI while taking a full-length photograph, which is then transferred to each participant's personal online account providing a visual progress report of their health improvement. To date, more than 80,000 Coloradans have enrolled in the program, with the average successful participant losing 8.5% of their body weight after one year. Over $500,000 has been distributed in cash rewards since the program began in 2011. Weigh and Win is based on incentaHEALTH’s digital health platform and supported by Kaiser Permanente, in partnership with additional community partners, as an effort to encourage healthy eating and active living throughout Colorado.
