Webb Interactive Services, Inc. (Webb) is engaged in the development of extensible instant messaging/presence software and products through ownership of securities of Jabber, Inc. At December 31, 2005, on an as-if converted basis, Webb owned approximately 34% of Jabber's common stock. Jabber is a commercial developer of extensible instant messaging/presence products for enterprises, government agencies, telecommunications companies, Internet service providers and original equipment manufacturers that require real-time communication and collaboration solutions. Jabber's products are based on the standardized extensible message and presence protocol (XMPP), developed by the Jabber.org open-source movement. Jabber instant messaging (IM) solutions differ from packaged and consumer instant messaging solutions in their ability to support and to be integrated with other applications and services. In November 2008, it announced the completion of the acquisition of its interest in Jabber.
