Web4Test Ltd. Information

Web4Test was spun out of Heriot-Watt University in October 1999 by Andrew Cochran, the Chief Executive Officer and Andy Crofts, the Chief Technology Officer. The core software was conceived and developed by Andy and his team over the course of 4 years to help deliver the University's distance learning programmes. The technology is now proven and robust and delivers over 10,000 tests per month across 11 of the 13 faculties in the University. At the outset, the venture attracted significant investment from the Royal Bank of Scotland who have taken an equity share - this initial investment has been followed up with additional funding in March 2001. Our main market focus is targeted at meeting the training needs of large corporates, professional bodies and major public sector organisations like the health service, where more and more of the market is compliance driven and the emphasis is on Continuous Professional Development (CPD).
