Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, the second IIT to be set up in 1958, is recognised worldwide as a leader in the field of engineering education and research. It is reputed for the quality of its faculty and the outstanding calibre of students graduating from its undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. The institute has a total of 15 academic departments, 30 centres, one school and five Interdisciplinary programmes. Over the last five decades, more than 52,600 engineers and scientists have graduated from the institute. It is served by more than 650 faculty members considered not only amongst the best within the country, but also highly recognised in the world for achievements in the field of education and research. Today the Institute is recognized as one of the top centres of academic excellence in the country. Over the years, there has been dynamic and rapid progress at IIT Bombay in both academic and research activities, with a parallel improvement in facilities and infrastructure to match with the best institutions in the world.

Nirmaan Organization is a registered NGO, started by students of BITS Pilani in 2005. We work in the areas of Education, Skill Development & Entrepreneurship and Social Leadership. In the past 20 years of journey, we have impacted the lives of 4+ million beneficiaries with the support of 600+ full time employees and 10000+ strong volunteer network, generating 80+ Crore (pa) worth of Social Impact through 40 Flagship Programs & Social Leadership Initiatives benefiting Children, Women, Youth, PwD, LGBTQ+ and Farmers from diverse social backgrounds across 24+ States of India while partnering with 200+ Corporate, Government and Philanthropic partners.

Techfest, IIT Bombay is Asia's Largest Science and Technology festival, with 1,75,000+ people in attendance, a social media reach of 2.8 Million Facebook followers and a reach across over 2500+ colleges across India and over 500+ overseas. It provides a platform for one and all to witness one of the most beautiful and groundbreaking amalgamations of science and technology with pure delight and enthusiasm. With a display of motivating orations, state of the art technology, cut-throat competitions and breathtaking performances for its audience, Techfest for the past 26 years has served to be the ideal destination to learn, create and experience the beauty of technology, and has also expanded overseas through it's outreach campaigns and competitions. Techfest has diversified into an organisation that apart from showcasing the pinnacle of technical and scientific advancement and innovation, also strives for the betterment of the society with its high-impact social initiatives. Be it a Guinness World Record breaking campaign focused at promoting the use of solar energy in all states and union territories of India, or promoting awareness regarding mental health and the taboo of menstruation, Techfest's social initiatives have set the festival apart from any other college festival and added a whole new dimension to this organisation working on a non-profit basis.
