Wavelength was born out of a desire to curate total immersion experiences, incorporating every screen and speaker in a room, no matter how big or small. It makes synchronized production control possible for mobile devices, putting mass-scale visual control in the hands of designers without the need to purchase rigs of specialized technology. Participants simply download the free client app, tap to join a show, and the designer takes control from their desktop. This allows an extraordinary range of possibilities: a performance artist choreographing an amphitheater full of phones to strobe their flashlights on beat, a band turning a zero-budget basement gig into a bright, colorful light and video spectacle, an artist using a gallery full of phones to turn a crowd into a live synchronized MIDI synthesizer—Wavelength makes all of this possible and easily accessible, anywhere, anytime.
