Wave Café Information

Wave Hub (formerly Wave Cafe) is a social enterprise café in Muswell Hill where people with and without learning disabilities can meet and do things together as equals. What makes Wave Hub unique is its ethos of changing attitudes to disability and difference by creating events and activities where those of all ages, backgrounds and abilities can socialise, work and do things together – not as ‘clients’ or ‘service users’, but as peers (or, as we call it, #WithNotFor). Wave Hub believes that whatever our abilities, we are all part of our local community and can all contribute to its well-being. Wave Café currently operates an inclusive community café in a local venue, open one day per week (Thursdays), offering activities such as art classes and yoga on top of the food and drink. We also hold evening events twice a month with a variety of artistic, musical or gastronomic themes, always designed to be participative and inclusive. We plan to increase our operation, initially to three days per week in Autumn 2022, with a view to eventually opening full time.
