Undoubtedly one of Sydney’s greatest pubs, Harbord Hotel (formerly Harbord Beach Hotel) has stood proudly as a community landmark for nearly a century, and is now in the dedicated hands of Freshwater locals and new owners Glenn Piper and Lachlan Cottee. Its evolution has been designed with everyone in mind, but locals at the heart, and great time and care has gone into understanding the fabric and stories of the area to help shape the venue’s future. The result is a true beachside haven; a local icon informed by the surf culture that has long been embedded within the venue’s name. Woolly Mammoth Alehouse is a contemporary beer hall allowing beer lovers to relish in Queensland's largest selection of craft beer, taste rustic food off-the-bone, enjoy some of the best entertainment in Brisbane, and even try their luck at novelty indoor activities including bocce, giant jenga and Shuffleboard! Here, we provide you with an overview of the spaces, and the people and passions behind Woolly Mammoth Alehouse, revealing the inner workings of a modern beast stampeding into Brisbane's hospitality scene. Inhabiting Ann Street in Fortitude Valley, Woolly Mammoth Alehouse is a multipurpose and experiential space consisting of three distinct areas - the Alehouse, Garden Bar and Mane Stage. The Alehouse; located on the ground level showcases our craft beer experience and also features a 14-foot shuffleboard table to keep guests entertained. With multiple spaces, the Alehouse is well suited to host events of 10 - 600 guests. The Garden Bar; adorned with astro-turf for indoor bocce and giant jenga, offers an event experience like no other. Being flexible in design, it has the capacity to cater for almost any type of function; from small intimate gatherings, such as birthdays, sporting celebrations and after- work drinks to cocktail style events holding up to 200 guests. The Mane Stage; boasts a state of the art PA and in-house production equipment and is now available to hire Sunday to Fridays, and has been the venue of choice for countless national tours, club nights & respected brands.
