Waterdown Manor Information

We are a Retirement Home with assisted living. We are Not a Nursing Home. A Nursing home is like a hospital. They are institutional and are often set up as wards. At Waterdown Manor you have your independence with added assistance that makes your life easier. We provide meals, individual laundry service, housekeeping and activites. Other care services are also available and we create a care plan that is customized to your individual needs. Our place is designed to feel like home and not a large institution. Our Capacity is 57 residents and our place is family owned. Our Care Givers are professional health care providors and our General Manager has over 25 years experience working with Seniors. We know that most seniors won't admit that they need help. Many Seniors are lonely, not eating well and not taking their meds as prescribed. Most loved ones are not professional care givers and are often stressed and stretched given their own family responsibilites. When you are at our place you can visit with your loved ones without them being concerned about your well being. That means you spend quality time with them as opposed to them coming to see you to make sure you are OK. You keep your independence and at the same time you know that their is assistance for you if and when you need it.
