The Scientific Workgroup for Rocketry and Spaceflight (or WARR, an acronym for its German name "Wissenschaftliche Arbeitsgruppe für Raketentechnik und Raumfahrt") is a student group based at the Technial University of Munich (TUM). Originally established in 1962 to compensate for the university's lack of space-focused institutes, the group today has more than 300 active members. Its primary purpose is to provide opportunities for hands-on project experience in the aerospace sector, complimentary to the more theoretical education a university can offer. Currently, WARR members are working in the fields of hybrid propulsion, satellite technology, robotics, and transportation technologies.
