WAMH - We’re All MAD Here -Yes We Are! Why? Because All of us can Make A Difference. (You too!) When the conversation turns to therapy and mental health, we have often heard phrases like, “Are you mad? Why do you need to go to therapy?” We felt it was time to redefine that word. To strip away all the taboos associated with it and normalise it. And so, we thought of applying the word to all of us! We decided to call ourselves WAMH because we believe that all of us are MAD in our own, unique ways. Because every single one of us is capable of Making A Difference. WAMH, is a mental health platform that brings like-minded people who share a common purpose of sharing and healing, together in a safe space. We extend mental health support to people from all walks of life by organising - virtual, topic-based support group meet-ups which are moderated by mental health professionals. These meet-ups are moderated by practising psychologists (counselling psychologists/clinical psychologists/trauma informed therapists). Our interactive and close-knit support groups of no more than 10 people provide the participants a safe and non-judgement environment for understanding and navigating through their mental health journeys. While the participants connect with like-minded people who meet to discuss struggles and experiences stemming from a common problem, the mental health professionals who moderate the 120 minute session employ expertise and various psychological tools & techniques to help the participants in addressing their fears and coping with their struggles. Participants, in the presence of a psychologist share their struggles, while simultaneously listening to, and drawing inspiration from similar experiences of their fellow participants, uplifting each other in the process. We're All Making A Difference here!
