Waltham Forest College is a vibrant and aspirational further education college located in North East London. The College has been graded ‘Good’ by Ofsted, Voted London’s #1 College for ‘Learner Satisfaction’ by students two years in a row, announced in 2021 as a WorldSkills UK’s Centre of Excellence, and this year [2022] as a partner as part of the Mayor of London’s new £44m Academies Programme. The College has been creating futures for 83+ years and has a community of approximately 10,000 young and adult learners and has over 325 staff members. At Waltham Forest College, we welcome students of all backgrounds and abilities by offering a wide range of full and part-time courses in the following sectors: Construction and Utilities, Creative, Education, Health and Care Services, Hairdressing and Beauty, Hospitality, Recreational and Leisure, Professional and Business Services, STEM, Employability and Independent Skills Creative. Every year we support and encourage our students in achieving their career goals, by progressing on to Higher Education, employment or apprenticeships. Our Learner Services Team has been highly commended in an awards category of ‘Whole School/College Careers Programme’ awarded by London Enterprise Adviser Network, part of the Mayor of London GLA project. We are committed to offering the best student experience, be it social, career or learning. The sheer scale of student-run, student-led activities will give our learners every opportunity to try something new and to continue to develop and improve their skills. We’ve also formed exciting partnerships with some of the UK’s largest employers who commission us to deliver an all-round Apprenticeships service from recruitment to training, to helping them make the most of the funding available, as well as through our Work Experience Programme. Our Human Resources Department is dedicated to recruiting and developing employees that can deliver high quality education to our students.
