At Walrus Kayaks we design and build high-performance sea kayaks using only the most technically-advanced materials and manufacturing processes. While we understand the convenience that a lightweight boat offers in terms of efficiency, responsiveness, and convenience off the water, we believe every boat must be capable of withstand the most demanding paddling conditions. Rather than compromise, we adapted techniques and materials from the aerospace and yachting industries and produced a line of expedition-worthy touring kayaks that offer greater rigidity, strength, and durability than even the burliest boats on the market but at only a fraction of the weight. We build every boat by hand in our Vermont workshop using epoxy resins, the highest quality reinforcements available, and a vacuum infusion process. Through our unique building process, we can produce kayaks that prove that light and bombproof need not be a contradiction. Our goal is to craft paddling gear that exceeds the expectations of even the most demanding paddlers. Whether you're looking for a boat for relaxed day trips or one that can withstand months of abuse on the most daunting of expeditions, we'll work with you through every stage of the construction process to make sure every detail you're looking for is built in, not added-on.
