In 2004, Dr. Jennell Riddick founded Walk In It, Inc. (W.I.T.) a non-profit organization with a mission to encourage, empower, and equip girls and women to be holistically healthy and strong: educationally, emotionally, socially and physically. Having spent most of her life mentoring and empowering others, Jennell was inspired to create an organization where she could affect positive change in young women on a more hands-on and consistent basis. The Ladies of Distinction program began in one school with 16 girls in 2007. To date we serve 700 girls in 30 locations. Through the organizations programming, Dr. Riddick and her team of directors, volunteers, and personnel have reached the lives of over 10,000 girls and women, nationwide since its inception.
