Wakes Information

In His Wakes is a unique, exciting ministry using water sports to share Christ's love a powerful and interactive way through its "A Day to Remember" and "On the Shores" outreach programs. Beginning with just five events in 2003, "A Day to Remember" (D2R) now spans the U.S. and has even crossed international borders. Since the programs inception, In His Wakes staff, along with 3,000 program volunteers, have impacted over 15,000 at-risk children! God continues to tweak this amazing water sports program to be exactly what D2R participants need: an effective tool that brings hope and healing to a hurting world. D2R enables participants to push past barriers of fear and distrust. Through one-on-one interaction, the D2R team has built amazing relationships with our participants that allow the Champions within to shine! All D2R participants and volunteers are exposed to the gospel, many for the first time, through amazing visual analogies between water sports and a relationship with Christ. Hundreds have accepted Christ as their Saviour as well as sought healing for emotional, spiritual and physical pain. What a blessing to be able to lay hands on these individuals and pray for them to receive healing at the waters edge! Our "On the Shores" (OTS) division began out of Kristi's desire to reach the water sports community for Christ. In 2002, Kristi developed a tract ministry called Making the Cut. To date, over 70,000 copies have been distributed. Kristi's book, Running the Course, encourages people to run the course God has prepared for them. Over the years, OTS has reached into the hearts of people worldwide through inspirational writings that bring together analogies of water sports and faith. Our "On the Shores" division began out of a burden Kristi had to reach the water sports community for Christ. In 2002, Kristi was led to develop a tract ministry called Making the Cut.
