In 1855, Dura opened the first carpentry store on Rotterdam's Katendrecht. Vermeer started its road company in Cruquius in 1961, and in 1998 we merged into the one company Dura Vermeer. A large number of great and special construction and infrastructure projects later, there is a company with nearly 3,000 employees and a turnover of 1.8 billion euros. We are among the top most innovative and sustainable construction companies in the Netherlands.

Wageningen University & Research provides education and generates knowledge in the domain of healthy food and living environment. ‘To explore the potential of nature to improve the quality of life’. That is the mission of Wageningen University & Research (WUR). A staff of 6,500 and 10,000 students from over 100 countries work everywhere around the world in the domain of healthy food and living environment for governments and the business community-at-large. Het Summa College bestaat uit 22 scholen voor middelbaar beroepsonderwijs. Deze branchegerichte scholen verzorgen meer dan 250 beroepsopleidingen in verschillende leerwegen en op verschillende niveaus. Wij onderscheiden ons door een actieve, persoonlijke begeleiding van studenten. De keuze voor een passende opleiding en het behalen van een diploma staan daarbij centraal. Iedereen die zijn talenten wil ontwikkelen, is van harte welkom. Ongeacht leeftijd. Immers: mensen die succesvol zijn in werk en privéleven, blijven zich ontwikkelen. Daarom ook leveren we maatwerk aan bedrijven. Onze docenten maken het verschil; zij bepalen in hoge mate het succes van onze studenten. In onderwijsteams zijn zij gezamenlijk verantwoordelijk voor de uitvoering van het onderwijs. Onze regio, Brainport regio Eindhoven, is een van de meest dynamische en succesvolle regio’s van Nederland en heeft grote ambities.
