Having been developed since 2011, QR payment gateway takes full advantage of existing banking infrastructure and the mass adoption of mobile devices. VNPAY-QR serves as a fast, convenient, and secure payment method for both sellers and buyers. VNPAY-QR was certified by the Vietnam Record Organisation as “The first payment gateway to integrate QR code payments into mobile banking applications” . QR Code has been integrated into the mobile applications of most major commercial banks in Vietnam. VNPAY-QR is considered as a breakthrough payment solution that could pave the way for a cashless payment boom in Vietnam.
