Vital Visuals provides the highest quality still photographs and video for consumers, non-profits, and industry. Our aim is to make images that are beautiful, affordable, and timely. Steven D. Martin (President) is a husband, a father of four, and a man of many passions and interests. He started in photography in 1983 when his parents gave him a Canon AE-1 camera for Christmas. During his college years he took courses in photography and learned to work with black-and-white film, large format cameras, and the Zone system used by Ansel Adams. In 2000 his interests moved to videography and filmmaking. After successfully producing two films that were broadcast nationally on PBS stations, Steve launched Vital Visuals as a full-time effort, continuing to make films and videos for television and non-profits. Through his filmmaking work, he has had the opportunity to see the world, spending time in Berlin, Florence, Jerusalem, London, Rome, Prague, Paris, Doha, Amman, and Bethlehem, just to name a few. Producing high-quality videos remains as his "bread and butter," but creating gorgeous images of people and places remains his passion.
