Virtual Trip has been the first IT student start-up in Greece, founded at the Science & Technology Park of Crete in September 2000 by a team of five undergraduate students and criticalpublics.com Initially focused to web content management systems, developed later a strong systems consulting angle. It followed a radical growth model of spinning out subsidiary companies, product-oriented and targetting the international marketing, leading to the creation of the Materializing Innovation Group. Currently Virtual Trip Ltd is the consulting, development & integration services arm of the Materializing innovation group offering services in three different spaces: Enterprise information systems, Cloud infrastructure technologies and Mobile applications & services. Last, Virtual Trip is very active in implementing cutting-edge technology R&D projects show-casing a number of success stories in commercialization of EU-funded research projects.
