Our world is faced with environmental, information, and human challenges. Meeting the needs of exponential population growth, preventing global warming and utilizing technology effectively is all of our responsibilities’. The use of virtual design and construction tools can significantly improve these efforts. Virtual Builders’ believes that BIM and other technologies have the ability and power to standardize the language of the design, construction and operations’ industry and transform the quality of the built environment. Virtual Builders, Inc. was established to help realize the potential opportunities using technology that is then shared in an open source format to promote growth and innovation. Our goal is to break down the silos of owner, architect, engineer, operator and contractor and create a team of people and companies committed to openness, awareness, enthusiasm, and consistency by using formalized training to create a common syntax. Our core focus areas are: Openness – Not specific to discipline focused organizations and software vendors, but advocates the collective beliefs of our industry and supports an open source means of sharing information.
