Virage Capital provides advisory services relating to the financing and formation of funds, companies and other investment vehicles. Virage’s Principals have been directly involved in architecting, implementing and/or financing over seventeen investment products - predominantly private equity funds, real asset programs and venture capital funds - which collectively have over $6 billion under management from major institutional investors such as sovereign wealth funds, corporates, pension funds, family offices and financial institutions. On the private equity side, Virage Capital offers investors a wide spectrum of discretionary and non-discretionary asset management products and services. The Virage team designs, constructs, monitors, evaluates, and adjusts private equity programs to meet the particular needs of each client. Virage's philosophy is that private equity portfolios should balance an appropriate degree of diversification across vintage years, managers, geographies, and sub-asset classes. In this context, we place an emphasis on select Canadian and cross-border asset managers who are expected to generate above-average results over time. Virage works with investors and sponsors, and furthermore collaborates with governments and multinational companies so as to help ensure countries derive maximum economic impact from offset obligations in different sectors.
