And in that return, there was another kind of homecoming: a reunion with her daughter. Years apart melted into shared mornings, quiet laughter, and long drives through familiar places. The journey back became a beginning—for both of them. For Kate , each tourist was a quiet miracle—another reason her mother was home. She studied marketing and management, holding close a dream they both shared.
