Vintage Elements exclusively offers reclaimed French oak beams from all parts of France and domestic handhewn hardwood beams from Amish barns throughout the Midwest. Our reclaimed French oak beams come from Farm houses and barns that are being torn down to make space for new construction. The beams are usually in bad shape and Vintage Elements goes through great lengths to remove the damaged surface to reveal the pristine antique oak underneath it by sanding and stripping the old beams. The result are honey brown, slightly rounded, smooth surfaced beams that are a perfect anchor on the ceilings with Venetian plaster, wood planking or Parefeuille tile inlays. We also import pine beams for a true Provence and French Country design. Our domestic handhewn beams with their perfectly weathered grey patina and their rough handhewn surface are great for a Craftsman or French rustic or French country design. All our beams are sized and selected for your project and are marked by room and are slab sawn on the back for easier installation against the ceiling. We also offer CAD supported Truss building with our reclaimed French oak and pine beams.
