The Village government provides a full range of services to its residents, including water treatment and distribution, police protection, parks and recreation, planning and zoning, and street maintenance and repair. A large part of daily operations involves the production of approximately 1 million gallons of water annually. Village water rates were determined to be the lowest in the area per Oakwood’s 2013 Water & Sewer Rate Survey. Founded in 1850, the Village of Enon has a rich history and warm, welcoming character. The Village offers numerous amenities for residents and businesses. 20 acres of park land, and a walkable downtown promote an active community. Greenon Local School District, serving Enon, supports a strong community by consistently providing quality education that has earned an Excellent with Distinction rating. Additionally, Enon is conveniently located between Springfield and Dayton with quick access to the sites such as the Music Center at the Heights, The Greene, the Mall at Fairfield Commons, Clark County Park District, Five Rivers MetroParks, Wright Patterson Air Force Base, and the National Museum of the United States Air Force.
