Village Community Foundation Information

Village Community Foundation (VCF) is a Canadian charity that funds the Global Pathways School (GPS) in rural Chettipalayam, India. The goal of GPS is to lift displaced, Dalit communities in rural India out of multidimensional poverty by combining quality education with healthcare, community development and gender empowerment programs. We support a child’s academic, social, emotional, and physical development from their first day of school to their first day of their career. We also create programs to ensure families’ basic needs are fulfilled and they too have opportunities to develop skills that can improve their quality of life. By delivering high-impact solutions for the child and the ecosystem of support surrounding them, our model is creating pathways out of generational poverty for families who have been historically denied the opportunity.
