The Adriatic Sea is about 17 miles away. Rome can be reached in two hours. 48 miles to the south is an airport in Pescara. Residents of "La Valle" refer to themselves as Vallaroli and are the nicest folks in the world! Casale is a free standing house on a short alley off the main piazza. This provides a sense of serenity when desired while allowing ample contact with the locals. There is a church with daily masses, bar (Bar Novanta), grocery store (alimentari) owned by Paolo, fruit and vegetable store (fruttivendolo), post office (Ufficio Postale), and hardware store (ferramenta).
