Vilalta Studio Information

Vilalta Studio is a Barcelona-based architecture and design practice with an international outlook. We believe architecture should belong to its place. Every project begins with a careful understanding of its context — the landscape, climate, culture and people who will inhabit it. Rather than imposing a predefined language, we look for solutions that emerge naturally from these conditions and create a meaningful relationship between architecture and its surroundings. Our work spans different scales and typologies, from residential and hospitality projects to workplaces, public buildings and urban interventions. Across them all, we combine design, technology and environmental responsibility to create spaces that are distinctive, efficient and built to last. Sustainability is an integral part of our design process. We explore passive strategies, material efficiency, industrialized construction and innovative building systems to reduce environmental impact while improving comfort, performance and quality. Working from Barcelona and collaborating internationally, Vilalta Studio brings together architecture, design, engineering and technology through a multidisciplinary approach. We see every project as an opportunity to challenge conventions, explore new possibilities and create architecture with a clear identity and purpose. Our work has received national and international recognition, including the Prix Versailles, ArchDaily Building of the Year, SAIE Selection and the LEAF Awards. Our ambition is to create places that feel inevitable: contemporary yet connected to their surroundings, innovative yet timeless, distinctive yet deeply rooted in where they are. We design places that belong.
