At Make-A-Wish® America, we are more than a great place to work – our work is life-changing. We are an inclusive and diverse group of people who, through a mosaic of backgrounds, thoughts and experiences, are united in purposeful work. We are fueled and guided by our values – values that are represented in the inspired people we work with and the transformational work we do, every day.
Headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona, Make-A-Wish is the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organization, serving children in every community in the U.S. and in 50 countries worldwide. More than 40 years ago the inspiration for Make-A-Wish began with one little boy’s wish to be a police officer. Today, together with our volunteers, donors, staff and supporters, Make-A-Wish has granted more than 500,000 life-changing wishes and transformed countless lives worldwide.
There is nothing more powerful than making a child’s wish come true. And at Make-A-Wish, we will stop at nothing to ensure every eligible child received a life-changing wish. We believe – and research shows – that a wish gives kids the resilience, courage and strength they need to fight their critical illnesses. A wish doesn’t signify an end or one happy moment in time … a wish truly has the power to transform lives. This is why wishes matter. This is Make-A-Wish.
Mission: Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.

Sky’s the Limit Fund (STLF) is a non-profit organization with the mission to transform the lives of youth in crisis with financial need through Wilderness Therapy Programs, Family Coaching Services and Community Outreach. Our Wilderness Therapy Support Program addresses the mental health and well-being of under-served youth in crisis by providing access to wilderness therapy and transitional support.
We are experiencing an epidemic that is affecting our youth and this epidemic does not discriminate among ethnicity, religion, or socio-economics. More youth suffer from mental health illnesses and left untreated, they will ultimately have lifelong implications on the youth's life. Wilderness Therapy is an effective and lasting form of treatment, however, it is very expensive and cost prohibitive to low/moderate income families. Believing that cost should not be a barrier to anyone seeking treatment for their youth in crisis, Sky's the Limit Fund provides funds to offset the high cost, thus enabling youth from these families to get the treatment they need.
Following wilderness therapy, the STLF Family Coaching Program provides the critical support to the family and youth for a successful transition back to the home. This is a direct service offered free of charge to our families.
In addition, we host community outreach activities throughout the year to bring awareness and educate the community on the mental health crisis facing youth today and the benefits of wilderness therapy. We also offer a Parent to Parent mentor program.
STLF is supported by donations from individuals, organizations and foundations. We do not charge fees for our services.
As one teen wrote, “I am awed by the generosity showed to me by complete strangers. Without Sky’s the Limit Fund, I would never have been able to attend wilderness therapy. I am beginning my journey to a new life and can’t wait to see what is on the other side of the mountain. Thank you for believing in me!”
