The Founder Chairman Lt. Padmashree Dr. B. V. RAO - fondly referred to as “The Father of Indian Poultry Industry”, motivated by his wife Lt. Smt. Uttaradevi Rao, established VENKATESHWARA HATCHERIES or The VH GROUP in 1971. Today the group is popularly known the world over as VENKY'S With a unique combination of expertise and supported by strategic collaborations, the company diversified into SPF eggs, chicken and eggs processing, broiler and layer breeding, genetic research and Poultry diseases diagnostic, Poultry vaccines and feed supplements, vaccine production, bio-security products, Poultry feed & equipment, nutritional health products, soyabean extract and many more. Today the group is the largest fully integrated poultry group. The VH Group plays proud mentor to a number of reputed organizations under it's umbrella and successfully caters to poultry and it's allied sectors. The pioneering efforts of the VH Group have been well recognized and rewarded with several National and International Awards. Dr. Mrs. Anuradha Desai, the Chairperson with rich experience in the poultry industry and with her dynamic and capable leadership has propelled the Group to unprecedented success in a span of 30 years. As a Chairperson of the NECC, she has played a significant role in the quantum leap of egg production, consumption & export in the country. She is the 1st woman to be elected as President of the World Poultry Science Association (IB) for 4 years in a row. The Managing Director of Uttara Foods & Feeds Pvt. Ltd. , Mr. B. Venkatesh Rao has been instrumental in elevating the company to the heights it occupies today. He has by his proactive approach lifted performance of the Company to high level of efficiency and productivity, especially in operations and marketing of poultry feed. Under the leadership of Mr. B. Balaji Rao, VENKY'S has excelled in the production of SPF Eggs, processed chicken, Nutritional Health Products & Pet Healthcare Products.
