NatureServe, a non-profit organization, provides high-quality scientific expertise for conservation. Our dynamic and impactful data, tools, and resources help guide conservation action where it’s needed most. We envision a world where decision-makers fully understand the importance of science in identifying and protecting our precious animals, plants, and ecosystems. The NatureServe network includes many faces, names, and expertise from the United States, Canada, and Latin America. More than 1,000 conservation professionals work to ensure that relevant and reliable science is driving important conservation action.

iNaturalist is the world’s largest community of naturalists. Every month, millions of people from around the world explore nature and collaborate on science and conservation through our free website and mobile apps. Please note: we're a small team of just under 20! Many enthusiastic volunteers have also listed their affiliation with iNaturalist.

GBIF—the Global Biodiversity Information Facility—is an international open data infrastructure, funded by governments. It allows anyone, anywhere to access data about all types of life on Earth, shared across national boundaries via the Internet. By encouraging and helping institutions to publish data according to common standards, GBIF enables research not possible before, and informs better decisions to conserve and sustainably use the biological resources of the planet. GBIF operates through a network of nodes, coordinating the biodiversity information facilities of Participant countries and organizations, collaborating with each other and the Secretariat to share skills, experiences and technical capacity. GBIF's vision: "A world in which biodiversity information is freely and universally available for science, society and a sustainable future."
